About Krka National Park

Krka National Park is one of the protected national park areas of Croatia, named after the river it encloses. It is located in the middle-lower course of the Krka river in Dalmatia region of Croatia, next to city of Sibenik and bay town of Skradin.

Krka National Park was formed in 1985, and gives home to many native species, fishes, birds and rich flora. The major sight (during summer) is the chain of waterfalls (yes you can take a swim).

Many local tour companies offer daytours to Krka, check out boating on the river and visit Visovac island too. Than take a stroll down to Skradin. The picturesque town (dated back to Roman ages) is only a few kilometers away from the sea.

The park's attractions and facilities available are various footpaths, sightseeing tours and presentations, boat trips, souvenir shops, a museum, and restaurants. There are also several archeological remains of unpreserved fortresses in the park's vicinity dating back to as far as the Roman times.

Entrance fees from 50 kuna/adult up to 100kuna, depends on which part (or all) of the park would you like to visit. You can buy tickets online
